About Stephanie
Stephanie Turkel, MS, RDN, CPT
Stephanie is a registered dietitian nutritionist and certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
She earned a Master of Science degree in family and consumer sciences in 1999 and a Bachelor of Science degree in foods, nutrition, and dietetics with magna cum laude honors in 1997. She attended Lamar University for both degrees.
Stephanie is a member of the Dallas Dietetic Alliance and has served on the board of directors. She has worked in clinical nutrition, school foodservice, academia, and private consulting.
Today, Stephanie enjoys writing bone-building nutrition strategies to help women live their best lives and teaching nutrition at the University of North Texas (UNT).
She loves family time catching up with her parents and two daughters. The younger majors in biology at university; the other is a recent accounting graduate.
Residing in north Texas with her fiance, they enjoy being active, cooking, reading, and playing with their furry children.
About Grace
Grace Rivers, RDN, LD, CDCES
Grace graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition from UT Southwestern Medical Center Allied Health Sciences School.
A few years later she concentrated her efforts in diabetes and became a certified diabetes care and education specialist, (CDCES).
In her career she practiced in long-term care, renal dialysis, home health, and diabetes outpatient care. She now specializes in bone health for women and diabetes.
She is a member of the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists.
Grace held several board positions for the Dallas Dietetic Alliance (DDA), for nine years, including president.
Today, Grace lives in the Dallas metroplex with her husband and their feline companion. They enjoy a simple life and share a love of animals and the outdoors.
